Sankey was born and raised in Auburn, New York.[8][9][10]
Sankey started college as an engineering major and baseball player at LeTourneau College in Longview, Texas[11] but soon returned to New York. He earned his associate's degree from Cayuga Community College and an undergraduate degree in education from the State University of New York at Cortland in 1987.[9][12] While working as the director of intramural sports at Utica College, he earned his master's degree in education from Syracuse University's School of Education in 1993.[9][13]
From Wikipedia. I'm amazed, I thought Sankey was a lawyer previously. No wonder he's stepping in crap everywhere.

It should not matter. The players of this class were fighting for this. Other schools recruited them. Alabama rostered a pro player and played him in games.
How is this real life?
It matters that the SEC has a precedent of allowing this to be done without challenging other members of the SEC with similar penalties. This is going to be massive.
