I don't think Jefferson was ever going to be a serviceable QB, he just wasn't a QB IMO.

he was good for a true soph and then we tried to turn him into a running QB and run a spread option and he degressed

Was he not developed or was he just highly overrated and never was going to be a solid college QB? How do you actually know the answer to that?

if he's not coached well then it was another miss at evaluation by our coaches. coaching and selection are on our coaches

Out of all the opportunities to play in BCS bowls since LM has arrived, how many has LSU won (without a huge assist from Nick Saban)?

Yeah, I blame the kids not developng so much more than those paid to develop them. You sir could possibly be as big an idiot as the one you are trying to defend.

Disagree.
when u are the slower team u hope for rain, theres a reason for this.

Can u really blame CLM for that game? If u remember it well it wasnt football it was mud wrestling. There wasnt one piece of grass that held its footing and it pured the entire game. Football is supposed to be played on a playing surface not dirt sand or mud.

Both teams played on the surface so this is not an excuse or am I trying to take anything away from Penn St they won on a last second FG and dominated the game statistically, but.... I cant blame the coach on this one.

2011 wouldnt have mattered who the coach was, Alabama had one of the all time great NCAA teams.

Funny, before that game was played it was LSU that was being talked about as an all-time great team, not Alabama.

Dumbest fricking post yet. Cannot believe this fricking settle for mentality. Next you will justify this shite by saying we were only 13 points from an unbeaten season.

The 2009 loss doesn't bother me as far as coaching. PSU was a good team, the field was bad which did neutralize any speed advantage LSU might've had, and it still took if i recall a late drive aided by a BS penalty for PSU to win. It was just one of those games.

But in 2009 the offense was putrid and rarely exhibited any explosiveness at all. It's not like we were Oregon all year long. So the mud slowed us, but I don't think we used our speed anyway. Was just a typical 2009 performance, just like last night was a typical 2012 performance.

And who was the coach that couldn't get a potentially all-time great team across the 50 yard line in the national championship game until halfway through the 4th quarter?

Of course some in our fanbase would say the game didn't end in our favor crap. Les is a great coach how dare you take shots at him. I mean we were one play away for playing in the seccg and one game away from playing for in another title game.

This is the biggest surprise to most around the sEC. LSU has had success despite developing a Qb since miles and Co got to campus. I am not counting who Fisher had developed since his players were already in the system prior to les getting to BR in Jan of 2005. They had a good segment about it up here about a month a go
