Yea, he was held on a post route that wasn’t called.

If he was an accurate thrower, we wouldn't be having any of these discussions. He has other flaws, but mainly throwing late and inaccurately is why he will never be a winning QB. He may improve, but he has gone backwards this year.

He went on the road and beat Florida in his first start then had a great game and upset Ole Miss last year.

These were not great teams! Both of these teams had passing defenses rated 100th or worse. He got way too much credit for winning these games. This is who he has always been.

I agree with this.

I think that Max is pressing, not wanting to throw interceptions. In this season , the open receiver, the clean pocket are rarer than unicorn sightings. Getting his arse hammered because of the lack of these things, has become (unfortunately for Max) the majority occurrence. Putting in Nuss at this stage of his development, would more than likely have the same result, but with the addition of about 5 or 6 interceptions. Both Nuss and Max need time to develop into SEC stellar QB's...and I'm of the opinion that they will.

I feel like he’s been this all along. He’s extremely limited and doesn’t have a feel for it. It’s just not as evident against CMU or McNeese
1. Doesn't throw deep often; doesn't even look deep
2. Doesn't throw receivers open
3. Rolls into pressure
4. Throws after breaks

All signs of a guy who doesn't see the field very well.

He is being held back and coached the wrong way I think. The kid doesn't have the feel for the pocket and they are for in him to stay in the pocket. Last year when he played well he was scrambling making things happen and shooting from the hip. This year they are trying to stop him from doing that. Only time he played well last night was when he started rolling out and the defense didn't no if he was going to run it or pass it or pass on the run.

Truth, I just wonder how much of this is on the dumb OC.
