Yes.

This is what happens when you fire a coach mid-season and replace him with a d-line coach.

You can't lose 4 games and expect a high ranking. They respect LSU and know they're better than a 21, but they can't rank them bc of how good they are. They use record more than anything this time of year.

Every time they give us the benifit of the doubt we end up losing the following week. Like last season we lost to bama, they only drop us down a few spots then we lose Arkansas the following week. 2010 where we were ranked as the best 1 loss team and then loose to Arkansas the next week. There are definitely others those just came to mind.

Everyone still thinks we're a top 15 program even on a bad year. We just think we should be a top 4 every year. Unless you have Saban or Meyer at the schools they are at it's just not realistic.

Why yes; If you'd bothered to read the OP, you'd see that i'm seeking to validate whether LSU has become looked at as a tier 2 type of program by the national media.

It has nothing to do with recruiting. I understand we've lost some significant games in the previous years. LSU was robbed of an easy W so we'd be 8-4 if UF hadn't pussied out of the first game.

My point is that an 8-4 Utah is ranked ahead of us... fricking Utah. An 8-4 Auburn is 7 spots ahead of us. We are 1 spot ahead of a terrible 8-4 Tennessee team. What about the juggernauts of Navy, Colorado, and Western Michigan? I understand their records are better, but do you really believe any of those teams would stay within 30 points of LSU? That's what I mean by disrespect.

You have to win to get national respect. We had plenty in 2011 until, you know.

FIFY Not firing the BDHHDB years ago was the trigger to lost respect.

There is more parity than ever before in college football. The days of the SEC West being far superior to everybody else may be a thing of the past. Some of the top teams in the G5 can beat most P5 teams. The results tell the truth.

Hell no. We are and always will be LSU...that's not changing. We will still recruit with the best and will be competing for national titles or ed orgeron will not make it here very long. Our expectations have not and will not change, period. Geaux tigers.

Quit worrying about the media(many sports journalist aren't much better than the liberal politico clowns that whiffed the election)..

The week before the Florida loss, the LV Oddsmakers Poll had 3 Loss LSU #3 in the country(a 1.5 pt underdog to OSU on a neutral field..and 8 pt dog to Bama)..and usually have the Tigers near the top in Power Polls..

And every year regardless of the roster changes, LSU is in the Future odds at less than 20/1 or 15/1, usually around 12/1, right behind Bama, OSU, Okla,etc..

Which is really about the 2nd to 5th shortest price for a school, especially when factoring Bama is in the same toughest division in the NCAA, and with OSU, Okla, FSU, Clem, Mich, etc..all coming out of mostly two team race Conferences at best.

And the Oddsmakers make spreads to LSU-Bama games the tightest of any foe Saban faces..sans say Urban Meyer.

You're looking for respect from the wrong places...where real money is involved..it's still there!

Without a doubt. We used to get the "it's LSU" treatment that bought us a couple spots. Now we get the "give me a break. It's LSU." Treatment.

This iNavy team would give MANY top teams fits. Ask Notre Dame.
