Honestly they’ll probably just cut seats for premium seating, slightly expand the concourse and keep it looking like a space ship

Oddly enough, the gymnastic facility's proximity to the PMAC will prolly be the tipping point in the debate whether to "renovate or replace".

With everything WW and LSU want to accomplish...and they are not entirely the same thing...it makes far more sense to build a new facility along Nicholson.

What will prolly happen instead is that compromises will be made, and LSU will renovate the PMAC along the same lines as UF remodeled the O Dome...

Wades vision for our basketball program is A LOT grander than what this current Athletic Dept regime has been accustomed to

WW wants a new playing facility, a new practice facility, a team weight room, and new team office space.

He ain't gonna get all that.

And this would/will be the reason we don’t hang on to him long term

I'm not sure about that. What I am sure of, is that WW will be provided with the best facilities he's ever had anywhere. Heck, that's prolly already true.

How about buid a new facility where Track stadium is, move track to new location, keep current practice facility just renovate it to house offices and weight room

We're one of the few schools to have both the outdoor and indoor tracks in proximity to each other. Let's not spoil that.

If we were gonna build a new basketball facilty and money was no object, we'd build it along Nicholson next to The Box. We'd also build a new gymnastic practice facility there, convert the current one to volleyball, and demolish the PMAC completely in favor of a smaller volleyball only facility with better fan and team amenities.

Use the space provided by the PMAC's demolition to improve the track stadium, and expand Tiger Stadium.

Yeah I know...dreams.

Why would you build a new gymnastics practice facility when this one has only been open for three years and is the most modern up-to-date facility in the country?

expand Tiger Stadium.

And why would you expand Tiger Stadium when you can't even come close to filling the seats that you have currently

I thought I was clear...one of the main factors tipping it towards a PMAC renovation rather than a PMAC replacement was the fact that the gymnastic practice facility is next door to the gym team's playing facility.

The volleyball team uses the old basketball practice facility in the PMAC basement. That complicates renovations. Building an entirely new gynmnastic facility next to an entirely new arena means you could move volleyball out of the PMAC.

The gym team could absolutely fill a larger arena. Volleyball however, needs a smaller, more intimate arena.

Because then you could improve the fan experience by ripping out all the bleacher seating. Imagine Tiger Stadium with 100% chair back seating.

Since we don't have a single chair back seat in the entire lower bowl, NO I seriously cannot imagine Tiger Stadium with 100% chair back seating

Umm what? We have more chair back seating than anyone else atm in the SEC. Arkansas might have more after their expansion is done. TAMU is close as well. But right now it's us...

Old picks I know. But all of those gold seats are chair back. Over 35, 000 in the original stands, and 360 degrees of field level seats all along the field.

Vcu’s Facilities were much better than LSU’s.

The problem is the athletic department doesn’t have a leader to get things accomplished. Everything is half assed and thrown together for a last second compromise. The nutrition center being example number one.

The lower bowl has BLEACHER SEATS with backs not chair back seats the chair back seats are in the premium seating and in the lower levels of the upper deck

Wrong the lower bowl has individual seats that swing up with a common chair back.
