If someone needs to consult someone on proper bj technique we'll send them to you, but leave LSU football talk to people who actually have an opinion on it.
Idiot thought like yours would have kept football the way it was in the 1890s. New people (who were not NCAA winning coaches) came up with ideas for mobile quarterbacks, spread offenses and the such. Innovators are who keeps a program winning.

Alright, PiecesTiger has coached football before. What level did you coach? How good were your teams? Why weren't you good enough to become an NCAA football coach?

Middle and HS. And my name isn't PiecesTiger.

And who's to say if I wasn't good enough to coach at the college level...I neevr tried to. maybe I would have been a disaster in college level. And you? Were you a coach?

Then what is your suggestion?
All you say is meaningless drivvel that has nothing to do with actual football...

Yes, I am not giving football scheme suggestions, because I am not some idiot who thinks I know more than coaches who have made it to the NCAA.

What do I suggest? Just trust the fact that our coaches know much, much, much more about football than you will ever know, and don't worry about nitpicking what they do. And if you really can't accept that, and if you really are so stubborn to think you know anything worth telling to our coaches, then don't come here to the Rant and complain, go write a letter to the coaches.

You didn't anwswer how well your teams did. Yes, I was a coach, and before I took over the team, they had a losing record. After I took over, my teams blew-out every opponent they played. I'm not taking credit for that, you have to understand that the guy before me had no absolutely idea what he was doing. The guy had never played football before. The team was new, and they were just looking for volunteers, so I stepped up.

In addition, the team had this superstar stud kid that was an incredible playmaker. Really, I think anyone with a basic knowledge of football could easily have done as well as I did.

How could you come to that conclusion when you had no prior coaching experience?

So you think you are doing LSU football a favor by sitting around whining like a little girl? Get real. Since Miles has been here, we have had three 10 win seasons in a row, we are 3-0 in bowl games, have a national title. All his recruiting classes have average star ratings at the same level Saban got to, all top 10 in the nation by both rivals and scout (often top 5). You are a fool if you think you are doing LSU any favors by complaining about this guy.

I guess not. I would not have even recalled the experience had my brother not remembered.

The guy had no previous experience at all with the sport, he got stuck with it, and was begging the whole time for someone to volunteer to take his place.

TRUST is something built over time and based on perception as well as reality.
Right now, the reality is a down trend..for whatever reason.

Fans, the "revenue" source of the program have the right to their opinions....
that right does not require coaching, which by the way, encompasses many business/management principles besides the X and Os you seem to claim.

Some of the principles have been violated by the coaches....they mat be geniuses at Xs and Os, but if you do not understand people, it is all for nothing.

I agree with alot of what you said, but this message board is generally "judging a book by it's cover." That's all you can do because no one on this site knows what goes on behind closed doors or the practice fields. No one knows the whole story. Hence the reason I don't go on rants and ask for coaches to be fired.

If any of these guys were in the game plan meetings before any of these games, I'd be willing to bet they would sit there with a confused, "what the frick are you talking about, because I have no idea what any of this means" look on their face.

Good enough to coach for a major NCAA football program? If not, then chances are that you just aren't that good as a football coach. So STFU!

i bet i wouldn't

this is seriously the most retarded argument ever

it assumes a bunch of shite that may not be true

1. it assumes they're good coaches
2. it assumes that having coaching knowledge makes a person good
3. it assumes that being a coach reduces the possibility that this guy can make mistakes

etc

quote:

oh yeah a letter. that will solve everything

fyi, it is actually much more likely theses coaches see something posted on this site LONG before they ever have a letter get given to them. our coaches have quality control staff who handle all that bullshite

Dude, come on... you are either simply trying to get a rise out of everyone here, or you are just an idiot. Who cares if people come on here and make coaching suggestions? What does it matter? You should have better things to do with your life than bitch for hours about something so meaningless.

I have never built a bridge; I don't know how to built a bridge; and I couldn't build a bridge by myself if my life depended on it. But if I look at a bridge, see bricks out of place and other structural defects - and then I witness that bridge fall beneath its own weight, then I can look at the bridge builder and say, "You F'ed up."
