Do you understand shite changes? He's reporting to you what he's hearing right now. That doesn't mean results this weekend could affect things. That doesn't mean there's not still conversations to be had. He's telling you what he's hearing now. And you think if he's wrong then he was talking out of his arse? Who has better contacts you or Hanny?
What if Walker Howard had an injury at practice? I mean I'll admit when I heard it I was highly skeptical as well but that doesn't mean Jordy was just making shite up. The guy had had nearly every coach and a ton of players on his show. You don't think that maybe somewhere at some point Howard running with the 2's might have been happening at practice?

My post history has me commenting on things I actually do for work. So you can be sure I don't work for the media. Friends with a lot of media personalities though.
I'm just not on the "if this is wrong he's done!" level like you are. Common sense will tell you these people have sources that feed them info - sometimes it's wrong sometimes its not but just because it's wrong a week later doesn't mean they just sit around and talk out their arse.
