Hanny - Daniels stats are better than nearly every Heisman QB over the last 12 years

And these-ridiculous stats are from playing in the SEC. The only reason Nix is ahead right now is because of having another game to play. Implied that Nix losing that game would likely win Daniels the Heisman

How competitive was this year's SEC compared to previous years? It didn't look as dominant as it was in recent years.

We had one of the highest SOSs in the country and much higher than Nix’s, especially looking at defenses played.

Define competitive. Some SEC teams didn’t have an offense, just a really good defense, that didn’t appear to hinder Aub from giving Ala hell.

According to ESPN’s FPI, LSU’s faced the 10th hardest schedule in the country. Much tougher than Washington and Oregon, sitting at 35th and 63rd respectively.

When you are comparing the SEC against itself in previous years, yeah it was down. But that's not a comparison that really even matters at all. It's how does the SEC stack against the rest of the conferences this year.
At one point I thought the Big 10 was a better conference at the top this year. As the dust settled, I'm not sure that this is true.
At one point I thought the Pac 12 was a deeper conference than the SEC this year. I don't think this ended up being true either.

Daniels is 3rd in passing yards...by 94 yards. However, to give that a little more context, Daniels has SEVENTY FOUR (74) less attempts than No. 1 (Nix). From a QB rating perspective Daniels is No. 1 at 208. That's EIGHTEEN points higher than No. 2 (Nix). To put that in context, the gap between No.1 and No. 2 is the same as the gap between No. 2 and No. 8.
Oh, and Daniels has more rushing yards than all but 20 running backs in college football.
Daniels could quite literally be 1st team All SEC at two different positions.
Put Bo Nix on this LSU team and LSU is (at best) 7-5. Put Daniels on Oregon and they are the No. 1 team in the nation.

LSU facing a 5 win Florida team, Mississippi State and Auburn doesn't say tough schedule. The SOS formula is flawed because it's inflated by LOSING to Alabama, FSU and Ole Miss.

All of this is why he should win not SOS

I had the exact same sentiment. Until watching Iowa play Minnesota and USC losing in ridiculous fashion.

Good stat.. and then you can add in that Nix has 75 more passing attempts of 0 air yards.

GA 12-0
Bama 11-1
Ole Miss and Mizzou 10-2
If it were LSU and FL at 10-2, you wouldnt be hearing this noise

Agreed.
And at the end of the day, the sec still has the best talent. If nix and pennix had a sec schedule they most likely wouldn’t be putting up the stats they are now.

There is another stat out there that has Nix getting 25-30% of his yds from screen passes.

Spot on.
Right now it is looked at as the SEC is down BECAUSE Mizzou is 10-2.

Yards per attempt is the gold standard per most football stat geeks and experts alike in measuring passing efficiency and effectiveness. JD5 comfortably has better numbers than Nix or the other guy in that regard. That's without even acknowledging the run.
So he's better at passing but also outrushed one of them by 800 yards and the other by 1100. I don't see what the problem is here?
