It doesn't matter...I still think Crowton is fired after this year, regardless of what these two bums tout JJ's progression. Especially since they "confirmed" Miles isn't involved with the play calling.

The coaches called mainly short passes

And....... why is the reason for that? The only time they stretch the field, 1/2 times per game is where he has the chance to overthrow the receiver. They are incredibly afraid to let the guy sling it, now why is that?

We had a short field all night. You will never put up big offensive yardage with a short field.

That's one thing if you're finishing drives. It's another if you're kicking 5 dead blasted field goals with three in the red zone.

Say what they want but MS State just doesn't have the horses right now to compete. They compete hard but talent wise they're a bag of dead weight in the West.

You certainly can put up better stats, where are the TD's...

guy had it all handed to him on a plate, shite the team only had to go 40 yards half the time.

1. because they know he is not a great down field passer.

2. because they let Lee sling it and it damn near ruined him, and it DID ruin him in the eyes of the fans. Maybe they are trying to make sure they don't ruin JJ.

And he can only run the plays the coaches call.

Is it his fault that the running game got shut down inside the red zone ?

The one Thing I saw tonight is that we will be in ever game this Year bc of our defense. Florida should be our first true test on the road and I am confident we will be undefeated going into Gainesville

I think WV is going to kick our nuts in with defense. Our defense looks good but those numbers are skewed. You really haven't played a top 75 offense yet. NCs squad pretty much lit us up with most of their playmakers out.

I think we look good on defense but I want to see how we play against a true established spread. You know, bludgeoning MS State and Vandy doesn't really establish you.

Sling it doesn't mean he's got to throw it 20 yards every time. I'd be fine with some 15 yard routes to the sidelines, but you never see it. The routes he throws are like 3-7 yard routes nearly every time he passes it.

that post wasn't directed to the QB actually.

But it reflects on his ability, if we are indeed that close to the redzone why those playcalls?

needed improvement in the red zone is blatantly obvious. The did move the ball well however until the play calling killed them inside the 20's. We were running against 9 in the box for no damn reason, whether that is because they don't let him check out of it or because he can't I don't have a clue. It has to change though.

They did improve though.... if you did not see that I am sorry.

Well, that said I agree. But, West Virginia isn't going to be killing us by airing out the ball. They have one dangerous receiver, and one very dangerous running back.

The defense is skewed, don't get me wrong they are very very good, but LSU still hasn't played a great offense.

My favorite part of this show was them referencing my comment about them "being told something".

It's alright guys, nothing but love.

Ouch, that quote right there was brutal.

If Jefferson goes off he's going to be in the 150-200 yard range.

Wow, that is pretty bad.

That is the million dollar question. Are they trying to keep his confidence up, so they do not want him to throw a INT inside the 20? Hell I don't know and honestly neither do you.

I am somewhat appeased with the moderate improvement. It has to continue however or it will be all for naught.

That seem reasonable?

You think since he was horrendous last game where he DID throw an interception in that situation, inside the redzone, they just didn't trust him? Or they just didn't want the fans to take out all their frustrations on Jefferson?

Get over it dude, JJ's passing stats were HORRIBLE.

Wow, you're right. If not for the 5 INTs JJ didn't throw tonight, JJ might have cost us the game. Damn good thing the name of the game is outscoring your opponent and not passing for more yards than your opponent.
