I think it's great the crowds they are getting. It's a totally different dynamic than any other sport.

They definitely draw from a different type of consumer than the other sports. Of the dozens of folks I regularly tailgate with on football Saturdays I doubt very many if any of them have ever been to even one gymnastics meet. Same for the regular baseball fans I know, I doubt many if any of them have ever been to even one meet.

I have a friend who married a former gymnast and they have season tickets, bring their little girl to the meets and love it, and his brother bought tickets as well as they have a young girl in gymnastics. Those are the only folks I know who go regularly, but man...they are coming from somewhere cause they constantly pack the place.
