Then those people apparently are not true fans. There were NO other two loss teams that year with LSU' s credentials. We won within the system and idiots want to disparage a well earned championship because of fanatical hatred of CLM. I guess if Lawd Saban had won under those circumstances they would be knob slobbering him.

Check out Saban's performance against A&M and for 58 minutes against Miles. How about last year kicking unmakeable FGs insread of playing field position. He can be had and CLM has had him more than anyon

quote:I think you are onto something. A lot of us fans (myself included) look at things that aren't working and want unrealistically quick "fixes" for whatever the problem. I'm not saying Les Miles is quick to fix things. And I'm not saying he doesn't create his own problems sometimes in how he handles certain things (Malveto, OC, play calling, JJ/JL, time management issues). But taking the long view, he does eventually seem to get things fixed. He's more the slow, steady type like Cholly Mac than he is a flashy coaching personality. But in fewer years than Cholly, he's got quite a winning percentage going. And while we can't seem to get over that Alabama hump, which LSU coaches have ever really done that. Not even Cholly did. And CLM has a pretty good percentage, considering...
its difficult to find a quality coach now days...j
So all this is to say, compared with many national programs of our stature, LSU is doing quite well under Les Miles' leadership. And maybe people like me, who want those quick fixes, need to stand down and let this coach do his work his way.
Not saying I will. Not saying I won't. Just saying it's worth considering... and I'm considering it.

Something I haven't seen getting much play: Saturday night's win over State was a milestone for CLM - his 83rd win as LSU HC, tying him with Bernie Moore for 2nd place on the all-time list. He should pass Coach Moore this weekend.
Congrats to CLM on achieving this milestone in 8 years. It took Coach Moore ( I believe) 15 years to pile up that many wins.

How about looking at the improvement in the OL, Mett, the receivers, the whole durn TEAM in the two weeks prior to tne BAMA game? If that doesn't sway you, you might at least consider that you do indeed need to let " coach do his work his way.
Also check out the post right after yours. We need to put all our support behind CLM.
