I think he vetted just fine... if you haven't noticed, Clay has been hiring "journalists" with a career of riling people up based on sensationalist narrative over mundane fact.

I've worked with Guilbeau and he's one of the best reporters you're going to find. He loves LSU, but he's also an old school reporter. He doesn't let his personal opinion affect his reporting, which means he's not going to be a cheerleader and he's going to stick to the facts!
Too many fans want the reporters covering their team to be fans also, but that's not true journalism. All you have to do is look at the election and all the liberals putting out lies just to support an agenda. Guilbeau has one agenda and that's to report the facts like it or not!
BTW, if you met Guilbeau and got to know him, you would love hanging around him. He's down to earth and has a dry sense of humor, but he's hilarious at the same time!
