What about the rest of the team he led to defeat.
He doesn't owe them an explanation either about why he jerked Lee around. He definitely owes Lee some explanation.

Hardly....

This is where I disagree. The only person he owes anything to is Lee. He owes the fans nothing. He will incur a lot of anger though without some explanation. That's his choice though
+1

I'm still amazed people actually believe the head coach owes the back up quarterback an explanation of why he didn't play.

Son, i didn't think that your play or skill set would have a positive affect on our play, proppelling us to victory. Because of that, I decided to continue to dance with with the date that brought me here. Thanks for your great contributions to this LSU team over your career, and I wish you the best of luck in life moving forward. If you ever need anything, just let me know. Its been fun, Jarett. Godspeed

The responses from some players gave the impression they did not understand why Lee did not play. Perhaps they deserve the explanation then. You see that right.

You actually believe people can't change their minds about someone based on how they react to certain situations? Why do you think people are so disappointed? Miles had started winning people over again and then basically quit on his team.
Miles took a hit nationally, not just with the LSU fan base.

Probably owes him an explanation on why he was the backup. The starter sucked and was actually getting worse.

Lee was never the starter anyway. We all knew that JJ was the starter. Other than 08, he was a career back up. Its that simple. The coaches felt more comfortable with Jefferson in at QB.

AGreed. Guilbeau is right on top of this one and Ive got no problem with what hes is saying. Bobby said it over the airwaves, Guilbeau is saying in the print.

Neither of these guys were good enough to warrant exclusive playing time. I don't think "starter" mattered too much, or shouldn't have. Should have been a two QB system all along. JJ reverted back to early '10 form and needed some time on the bench.

so everyone would be happier if Miles threw Lee under the bus for the off the field stuff and this would somehow make Miles a better man and make Lee feel better?
Care to tell us what off the field stuff Lee did?

He was the starter for 8 games and the LSU offense looked better than when JJ played so he wasn't a typical backup. Also Les preached about how a great a two QB system was until he could phase Lee out. He was a obvious option when your "#1" is shitting the bed in the biggest game of his career. I don't see how that is so hard to understand.

I agree he needs to give clear explanation to put this to bed. Something went wrong that is for sure. Team was a no show from the start.

I agree. Everyone I know has to answer for the decisions they make on a daily basis at their jobs, some even in a public forum. It's time he come clean with LSU.
He may owe his employer and "employees = players" one but not the fans, as much as I WANT one.

The only advantage that Les ever saw with a 2 quarterback system this year is giving superman a chance to get back to the top of his game. Les forgot how JL saved his butt last year in a couple of games. After Bobby Hebert blasted Les for bringing T-Bobs name up with the Shady's incident. T-Bob got fazed out. After he got criticized for bringing JJ back so soon. He fazed JL out. Both were banished because someone dared criticize the great one.
