Hopefully LSU defensive coaches are starting to realize this can't be all blamed on the loss of talent to the draft. Some new thinking is definitely required when it comes to prevent defense.

First of all, I think you are definitely wrong about that. The points we've given up this year are DIRECTLY related to our talent and experience level on defense.

Second of all, we blitzed frequently on the last drive. So your "prevent defense" comment is inaccurate.

I agree with the rest of your post though.

Why was LSU not ready to play this game when it meant so much them, I'll bet all of the LSU coaches are asking themselves that right now. I simply can't think of an answer. Les took the blame, hopefully he took to asking questions including of himself regarding LSU's preparation

That is the question I want answered. If you look at how LSU has played Ole Piss since Miles got here, it is borderline pathetic considering the obvious talent difference. For whatever reason Miles can not get his team up enough mentally to understand that no matter what the difference in talent Ole Piss is going to come to play for 60mins against LSU and our boys need to bring their working boots because it is going to be a 4 hour job!!!

That is one of my biggest complaints about Miles it doesn't look like he motivates the team for all games, even the ones we are supposed to win. That is the job of the Head Coach to make sure the team doesn't lose focus. Our boys lost focus last night, read too many clippings that Ole Piss couldn't hang with us because they were too banged up. Someone forgot to let Ole Piss know that.
