What kind of care would he have gotten if he wasnt a football player at LSU? It's just a very unfortunate situation and he is more than likely lucky to even be alive.

Some people think we are more advanced than what we really are. Not to mention Dr Gaynor is probably one of the doctors you want to go to if you have a brain issue. I read the article last night with someone and they know that doctor because they work there. Hate to say ill towards Greg or his family because his situation sucks but to burn every bridge like that is really short sighted. It also may or may not prove how severe his condition is which definitely isn't an ideal situation.

If an athlete at a program as well funded as LSU complained of chronic headaches, a CT is warranted at the very least.
he was tested and treated for things in order of most likely scenario.

Dudes with sprained ankles get MRIs
because soft tissue damage is extremely likely when ankles get rolled or bent or stretched. So they Xray for possible breaks and MRI for soft tissue damage.
guys with his symptoms don’t likely have brain tumors, so they don’t check for that.
Even concussions are diagnosed without scans now days.
So him not getting a scan immediately is not out of the ordinary.
