Its easy for all of us to give our 2 cents on Greedy but unless you are in his shoes, you do not understand what he is dealing with.

Greedy came to LSU on scholarship but was not as highly touted as some of our other DB's. Greedy came in, worked his butt off and moved up and became a projected 1st round pick.

Greedy has a child and has to think of that childs future and how his decisions impact her life. There is no way that Greedy didnt want to play in the bowl game because if he had that type of attitude then he wouldnt have excelled here at LSU. I dont blame greedy for sitting out at all. After watching what happened to the LB from Notre Dame in the Fiesta bowl a couple of years ago and how much money that cost him.

If Greedy was your son or brother and had a child, you honestly would tell him to play?

I get it, as a fan, i would have loved to seen him shut down the WR from UCF but as a father and knowing that my decisions directly effect my kids future, I do not blame him at all.

Bit*$ing about it and him is not a good look for LSU fans, if it sways just 1 recruit that sees how Greedy was treated by the LSU fans, then that ultimately cost LSU as a whole.

Welp, there are my 2 cents.

Skipping the bowl game cost him massively in the draft and a ton of money. Went from top five (really top three) to clinging to late first round. It was a terrible decision and he got bad advice.

He is still loved by LSU fans. He just got bad advice and now it is going to cost him a lot of money. He’s a legend here. No LSU fan denies that. Just a bad decision. We all make them. Some lead to us not enjoying our lunch and others cost millions like this one may for Greedy.

Skipping the bowl game did not hurt him in anyway

He was a 4 star and a top 250 player nationally.

ok?

plenty of very talented players excel at the college level and flame out in the NFL because they don't have a good work ethic or drive to work hard

care to elaborate on how much money it cost him? I'm sure you're also aware that said Notre Dame player was asked about his decision and what he'd have done in hindsight. He said he'd make the same choice.

Yes, I'd tell him to honor the commitment he made

my two cents is that Greedy only cares about himself and money and that attitude will catch up to him eventually. His life, his choice, but it sounds like you are upset some people aren't as big a fan of his as others. Not sure why you care.

He was a top three pick before that. Now he is not projected in the first. Guess it helped his draft stock?

He had a blazing 40 time and everything else wasn't as impressive. The fact that you honestly think NFL GMs are going to avoid him because he didn't play in a meaningless bowl game is hilarious.

I don’t think anyone is casting any shade on his performance/attitude from his arrival on campus until his decision to sit the bowl game.

He’s sliding down draft boards (and losing money) because he did awful in everything not the 40 at the combine. That’s costing him more money than sitting or playing the bowl game. I still think he will be a first round pick though.

how bad it hurt him to get injured during the season? Bosa might have been healthy by bowl season. He tore a muscle. That's not exactly something you just play through. You have to let it heal or it never will. Ask Ken Griffey Jr if he wishes he hadn't wasted 2 years of his prime trying to rush through a muscle tear.

None of my business? He's an athlete. His job's sole purpose will be to entertain people. Sorry if I don't fawn over him like some of you still do. I'm entitled to my opinion of him just as you are.

You're wasting your breath.

(Some) people here call themselves the best fans in the world, but a player does one thing they don't like then all of a sudden they hate the guy.

Those fans should just come out and say "I tolerate these players until their behavior doesn't perfectly reflect my ideals."

His sole job is to support himself and his family. Getting hurt before he is drafted would impact that greatly. Getting hurt after he is drafted wouldn't hurt it as much.

It's time for you to wake up and smell the coffee. College Football is am minor league and these kids (mostly the elite ones) aren't there to play school.

Projected top three. Quit practicing with team and didn’t play and now he’s no longer projected in the first. Remind me how him skipping the game improved his status?

Of course some GM will take him. Nobody is suggesting he won’t get drafted, just no longer with a top three pick.

Correlation does not imply causation.

You decided to snooze one extra time this morning and you have made some really shitty takes on the Greedy Williams discussion. Therefore, snoozing one extra time is the reason you have a shitty take, not because you're a moron.
