There seems to be some debate now amongst reporters over what O actually said. Some are saying O said he was sitting out.

Regrettable. I understand his choice to leave for the NFL, but this trend of players skipping bowls, esp one which would allow his team to reach several goals is really starting to get old. Dance with who brung you this far!

sure, but I was looking through the years and I can't find any examples of players declaring prior to the bowl game and still playing in the bowl game, at least for LSU

That’s easy to say when you aren’t the one risking millions. Anything can happen injury wise to any player at any time.

Love the kid and enjoyed watching him...but frankly its a punk move to announce this at the same time LSU is announcing their Bowl Game...completely disrespectful to his coaches, his team and his teammates.
There is absolutely zero advantage to him announcing this at the same time. WTF?

Greedy has a daughter I don’t mind him sitting out the game. If Devin was to sit out also I wouldn’t mind they are projecting him top 5. If he does play he needs to get insurance

A joke?? Why couldn't he wait till Monday and let his team celebrate the Bowl announcement. Its like he wanted to be put in front of his team today.
