And it's a lot of the same people that say don't bash the coach because recruits read the board and it hurts recruiting.

probably by mid season. The more games you play the greater risk of injury. He was already widely known as a first round talent before the season even started. Maybe playing the entire season moved him up 5-10 spots. Could have just called it in after the Miami game and taken no more risks of injury and take the 5 spot loss in draft slot value compared to his value playing the entire season. It is not just maximizing your value but also minimizing your risk and where those two meet on the chart is what you need to figure out.

I've seen nothing more than people calling him selfish and not a team player.
How could you be banned for that?

well, no that is not shitting on him., It is just his personality type that makes him not a team player and not have feelings of loyalty to the team. People just shouldn't say unreasonable shite about him with no basis

he may have just grown up in a situation where no role models of high character traits to look up to or grew up in a situation where he was very afraid of taking risks
it is something he most likely will grow out of as he becomes more exposed to life experiences

Youre crapping on his character in the above post.
Making decisions to set your grandkids up financially is good character in my opinion.
Youre bashing his character because his choice of turning pro didnt match your expectation of him turning pro.

Devin White and Williams' teammates made it Crystal Clear "Stop": They understand. But 4+ weeks later the HC, instead of touting GWill_29's accomplishments, is spinning something of great value in a negative way. Williams going top 2-3 in the Draft and getting paid is worth a lot to LSU in DBU recruiting value. His NFL success is worth more #LSUFOLIFE. He made a prudent decision. The Avg career in the NFL is 3.5 yrs, less than the free agency clock, and 80% go bankrupt in 3 yrs after leaving. LF skipped the Bowl and should have never played his last year. He should have listened to Marcus Dupree and been a LB. RBs only last an avg of 2 yrs. Now, due to injuries, 2 fights and a suspension, behavior consistent with CTE, his durability is in question, there is talk of trading him or worse, dropping him without pay because of his fights. So no one should ask a Top 10 player to risk doing anything for free.
"Does any head or assistant coach put their lives at risk or go to the players when they take stepping stone jobs and leave?" Well, no and the recruits are left questioning their "honor & integrity" as 'cra_cra Bebe' posited in his 'classless' excoriation of Williams. For example, Adam Henry wooed #1 WR Tyron Johnson in 2015 and bolted a few days later for SF. Getting Johnson was described by local media as 'one of the oddest phenomena in recruiting' how a run first team had so many top WRs. TJ transferred the next year along with 5 other WRs.
Aaron Hernandez played TE with Gronkoski. His career ended at 23 and he committed suicide at 27 in prison. His brain had the most severe CTE ever seen, equal to a 60-70 yr old dementia patient.

I'm not sure why more people don't realize this. So many have mentioned that LSU gave him room, board, clothes and an education. But, he has made the school a shite load of money and the accolades you speak of will continue to do so. LSU still uses Patrick Peterson and a selling point and that was a long time ago.

Anyone who criticises Tyrann Mathieu needs to stop and read the account of how he grew up dodging bullets and witnessed dozens of his friends gunned down. He has a tattoo for each one. And how he was made a scapegoat when many other players, Simon, Ware, etc. were doing the same thing. He however was in HIPPA protected therapy when JJ and 2 other players broke into his apartment and set up shop, climbing the fence to the gated community and alerting the security guard. "It is Not About the Truth" targeted him. After all that he still gave 1 million to the University who cost him tens of millions and remains an inspiration to millions to overcome poverty and no parents..a father in jail for life for murder, and mother who did not want him. Read his autobiography before you judge from your "mommy & daddy" always standing by worlds.

A long time family friend said: "I expect to be competing for championships. Remember, he came in and was able to tweak an offensive system somewhat, but it wasn't his system. They set records under him and this was just with tweaking an older system. Now, he'll be able to bring in his system or the new offensive coordinator's (Matt Canada) system and they'll have all summer to work on it. I expect great things. Look, Alabama will be Alabama and that's the game he's got to win, but I believe he will be competing for championships."

Bama envy, butt hurt fan. So, the sole way you measure a program is by how many points they’ve scored vs BAMA? That’s it right? How many coaches haven’t beaten Bama consistently? Thankfully , you’re not in charge. By that measure, you’d be hiring a new staff and running LSU into the ground. Idiot. This board is so full of stupid people. It’s sickening !!! And the thing about idiots is that they don’t know their (they’re... fixed) idiots. Coaching football at LSU is a thousand times more difficult that any of you can comprehend. These threads are nothing but stupid bait set up by stupid people. Deal with this. O, Aranda, and Ensminger are not going anywhere. They have done a very good job leading this program. They all want more.(????$$????) They all want the program to achieve an elite status. We’re almost there. So as fans, we can either be a part of the solution or a part of the problem. There is no grey area. Being a 10 win team consistently in the SEC is a task that hardly any of you have the ability to understand. O is there. Now, it takes all parts to come together to be a playoff program. Fans are a part of that. Either you are too dumb to see that or just refuse to. Choose to Be a part of the solution. Stay in the stands. Support the coaches. Recruits listen. Reduce the negativity. Recruits listen. A few players here and there at this level make a difference. Or just be stupid.

It's about honor and integrity... which is slowly evaporating out of our society. LSU helped Greedy with his education... with his development as a player, etc. His teammates also invested in him. To walk out on your coaches and team is just classless. End of story.

I hope his character and lack of team player ness makes the rounds in the NFL. I would love to see him go bust at the draft especially since this fellow is not a player for a team of which I’m a fan.
