"5. Lee makes a comeback: There are plenty of people on the Bayou who would have bet a lot of money that Jarrett Lee would never play another meaningful snap at LSU. The mere thought of seeing him go back into a game gave some LSU fans the shakes. But there Lee was Saturday night in the Swamp, as cool as cool can be, leading the Tigers back down the field in the final minutes and throwing the game-winning touchdown to Terrence Toliver on a perfectly placed pass. Lee, sharing the snaps with Jordan Jefferson, finished 9-of-11 for 124 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. That’s two games in a row now that he’s saved the Tigers by engineering clutch drives. It’s also clear that he and Toliver have something working. When the Tigers need a big play, Lee looks for Toliver, who caught six passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns against the Gators. Toliver was also the guy Lee went to on the fourth-and-14 play against Tennessee. There’s no telling where the Tigers would be right now without Lee. They certainly wouldn’t be unbeaten. He deserves all the credit in the world for hanging in there, too. A lot of people thought he might transfer after his 16-interception season two years ago when he was a redshirt freshman. But Lee was determined to see it through at LSU, and the Tigers are fortunate that he’s one of those who finishes what he starts." (sorry don't know how to post the link)

Thanks for sharing that.....

That was a really nice piece on Lee, and I agree with it. Lee is a competer. He doesn't quit, and that's exactly the kind of players we want here at LSU.

no matter what happens it's obvious that the kid has class and integrity.....something his many tiger nation detractors should get in touch with.

from the crucible comes strength and Les and staff have done a masterful job helping him to heal while strengthening his resolve. JJ is also showing improvement which means we now have two good junior qb's who can and will lead for the next two years. anything can happen....but I am liking what I see.

To Jarret Lee, I just want to apologize for all of the times that I have dog cussed you for throwing pick sixes and making the LA Tech game unwatchable.

You have TOTALLY REDEEMED YOURSELF!!

How can a coach have enough confidence in a QB trailing with 3 minutes left to lead the winning drive but not let him play the majority of snaps with a 12 point lead?

great article. I have been behind the guy the entire way. I was upset to see him thrown in the fire and crucified as a freshman.

For all the praise he is rightfully getting atm, I wish Tiger fans would realize he is still going to have a bad game at some point. He will get blasted when he does though and thats a shame. Kid is a true Tiger.

JJ is also showing improvement

JJ didn't drive the ball once this whole game. If JJ plays this whole game, LSU might walk away with 6 points. JJ just did the same crap this game he did all of last season to protect his stats. If someone wasn't WIDE open, he didn't throw it. Sacks, and called passing plays that go for 1 yard rushing gains don't show up on the stats. Oh wait, he still threw an interception.

can someone do a breakdown on who the QB was on scoring drives, not who finished it once the work was done but who ran the drive. I think it will show Lee ran this offense.

We were not meant to understand the genius of Less Miles. If JJ doesn't play, how is the rest of the team supposed to get pissed off enough at JJ to gel?

I've never understood those "supposed" LSU fans who attack any poster who wanted Lee back in. Disregarding LSUs own history of recent QBs who have had bad seasons early on and became legends after they left.
