So our average grade for the entire defense is a C? Ok.

A&M's offensive stats
as of this week:

Passing: 17th
Rushing: 19th
Pass Eff: 46th
1st down O: 11th
3rd down comp: 12th
red zone: 28th
TOP: 93rd
scoring: 9th
total: 9th

Our opponent's Offensive stats to date:

North Texas:
total: 63rd
scoring: 100th

Washington:
total: 103rd
scoring: 103rd

Idaho:
total: 107th
scoring: 117th

Auburn:
total: 119th
scoring: 118th

Florida:
total: 100th
scoring: 54th

South Carolina:
total: 95th
scoring: 50th

I'd give the coaches a break on having the receivers playing a bit soft to start the game seeing how A&M was by far the best offense we've faced to date.

The adjustments were outstanding. Our Offense didn't help the cause going 3 and out. Our D brought their "A" game besides a few costly penalties.

damn, you are tough man. i'm glad you weren't my teacher growing up. i would elevate every grade you gave but the RB's a whole grade. yes, our db's played soft at first but that was a coaching decision. when they changed that johnny football couldn't find anyone to throw to and it caused sacks and interceptions. our defense won this game and i couldn't give any of their units less than an A or A-. and an F for Mett? c'mon. the guy did enough to win so i'd give him a C or C-.

Glad to see someone else posted some grades.

I would have given Mett a D, until he threw the ball downfield after running 5 yards past the line...that did it.

These grades I posted include coaches, so if the defense was too soft in the first half, that is still the defense.

I would still give the defense a solid B ++++, they made some stupid mistakes, dumb penalties, but when it counted, they made the stops, they really shut down Johnny Manziel (sp), and made him try and beat us with is arm. Kudos to them!!

How can you say the Linebackers were a C...please delve into this further. Minter was NATIONAL defensive player of the week. He and Barrow played great. We had some stupid penalties like offsides, but at WORST the DL gets a B...that's as bad as you could possibly give the DL. If our defense was that bad why did we just shut them down even with all our penalties.
