Not exactly. It's just that I haven't seen that many exclamation points and capital letters since...well, ever.

That said, I don't think giving an A is a homer rating to someone who's done what Miles did. Yeah, the leadership was questionable at times in 2008 -- but I think that's more from the lack of leadership from some of the big time seniors than anything the coaches did. The coaches can lead all they want, but it'll normally take some degree of leadership from the players to see that leadership take effect. Look at the leaders lost from 2007 -- Flynn, Hester, Doucet, Dorsey, Highsmith, Steltz, etc. That's a lot of leadership gone, and while some juniors certainly stepped up (I'm thinking of Black, LaFell and Scott in particular), it's obvious there weren't as many leaders on the squads themselves.

How can he possibly be less than an A right now. Who else would you compare him to that would make him less than that. What is the curve in this class.

The Gump Nation is hoping and wishing very hard--nothing more than that.

Miles is in a class by himself when it comes to attracting a top quality coaching staff.

Greatest record for the first three years of any LSU coach in the history of our college. One BCS champ. Fourth year was a rebuilding year due to letting RP go. Any grade under A is foolish.
