The fact we played 26 players on Defense is huge! The Chief during Media days said more than once tons of youngsters were going to see action. A man of his word.

This is going to pay huge benefits down the road this season. That many getting real game experience will also save some legs for the Hogs this Thanksgiving. We'll need it chasing those guys around. IF we can continue to get to the QB like we did against UNC, will make the 3 step drops more difficult as these young guys gain some real time experience. Glass half full here as well.

JJ stepped up in the pocket and he was a vocal leader

Needs to stop that "Can't See Me Crap" to be a true leader. That was bush league. Has not proven himself enough to do that - may come back to bite him in the arse.

The team's attitude in the locker room was as if they had loss, which is what I think a championship team's response would be to that kind of performance.

Negatives to me:

JJ still way to jumpy, with happy feet on dropback passes.

JJ still staring down receivers, and never checking off.

JJ still doesn't know how to either take a sack, or roll outside the pocket and throw it away. Why?

JJ cannot run the option properly. He strings it out to the sideline, leaving the RB useless. He's gut to cut up field and either keep or pitch. He is basically useless as a running threat.

OL improved, but still penalties and getting beat badly on some plays.

Too many kids cramping up. Come on, hydrate.

Safeties got coverage problems.

RB fumble all the time.

Good Things:

JJ did step up in the pocket on occasion, and makes a good throw.

Better pass protection than last year.

Russell Shepard, when he gets any crease in the line, goes through so quickly and cannot be caught from behind.

Special teams seem solid, despite the roughing the kicker.

PP will be an awesome return man.

Receivers are lightning fast, get open, and can catch.

What part of positive/good did you fail to comprehend.

Defense doesn't typically block punts.

Defensive players do. Special Team don't typically consist of an entirely new squad of 11

He means we usually set up a return instead of going for the block. And if PP continues to average over 40 yards per punt return, I can't argue with that decision.
