Good News for Joe--Looks like Mike Brown all in on him and will spend money

I grew up in Cleveland and now live in Cincinnati. The last 15 years of the Browns have turned me into an apathetic fan. Of course, I am an OSU fan first and foremost.

Watch virtually no traditional TV but caught a Bengals ad for season tickets featuring Joe. (Can't find a link) To me this indicates that Mike Brown realizes that Joe can put butts in the seats (last year cincy attendance was poor) and that by spending on the Bengals and strongly supporting Joe he can make more money. He has already spent way more money than usual.

My concern for Joe was that he would get beat up on the bad Cincinnati teams. Maybe Brown will work extra hard to protect Joe and support him, which will be good for the Bengals and Joe.

I can imagine scenarios where I could sort of become a Bengals fan. If Joe works in Cincinnati it will be humongous.

Joe will demand to be protected, not only from coaching staff, but he will hold his O Line accountable, because he is a real leader

Brown doesn't have a choice. He's already hated in Ohio, like Mecom was in New Orleans, and Joe owns Ohio.

I don't exactly see the connection you are making, but I hope he really invest in the team to support Joe.

Fun fact:

Memphis is closer to Baton Rouge than it is to Knoxville.

Yeah the Browns did Cleveland proud last year, particularly in the Pittsburg game. Also, wonderful to watch what a well-disciplined, admirable team they were last year, when they had so few bonehead penalties over the course of the year. (sarc)
