Hopefully, you guys won't face the same houston team that couldn't miss. You will be facing Corey Davis (Lafayette, La)

Luckily, LSU is doing great in these categories.

Fewest Turnovers
7 LSU 87

Field-Goal Percentage
3 LSU 53.6

Wade has harped upon defense. We will see if they can somehow turn that up especially on the perimeter. If they don’t, it will be a long night. Houston is a very good team.

It will be a good test. A win would be a great addition to the foundation Wade is building. The main thing I want to see from LSU basketball is to compete for a full 40 minutes every game.

Surprising that they only received 3 votes in the ap poll.

Hopefully the feel of a big game will bring out the best in the players. I’d like to see a repeat performance of the Michigan game.

these are signs of a disciplined team. people are moving off the ball. good shot selection.

i've watched chiozza and sexton closely and waters is every bit as good. from what i've seen so far, i personally think waters is better. the kid can take over.

hogs looking good. the sec is going to be absolutely brutal.

Could be a 2nd win this season against teams who will make the NCAA Tournament as an at-large bid (Michigan).

ETA: Both Michigan and Houston could very well not make the NCAA Tournament. I'm just saying.

Houston is the 33rd best team in offensive efficiency according to KenPom, and the 17th best three point shooting team in the country. They'll need to get ice cold for LSU to have a chance. Granted the Tigers played better defense Sunday afternoon, Houston is the real deal and possibly a tournament team.

there will be some highlights for sure but, there are going to be monstrous matchups every night. it's going to be incredible. there's so much talent in the league.

I like LSU's chances at home, hopefully we get a decent crowd. LSU will score, it's if they can get enough stops on the defensive end that will determine this one.

Waters is going to show out. We all know this.

Anyone have an update on Sampson? How much longer will he be out for? We are a better team with him on the court. Any team with a decent wing will slash us to death without Sampson.

Wade already said he won't be back until SEC play, maybe by UK

My guess is not being Johnny Jones or maybe just a lack of pigment in general.

Tiger Rag has a neat article about Tremont Waters out - he mentioned a recruiting letter he received from Johnny Jones in his stack of mail when he decommitted and started looking at other schools and how Wade closed the deal.

He has with little to show for it. I sure would like to see some progress made there.

His comments after the last game was that he saw signs of improvement. I didn't see that. He may have just been trying a new positive tact as the ripping the defense after each game hasn't been working.

They are the real deal and possibly one of the top 64 teams in the country. Lol. Just sounds odd, sorry.
