Yeah, they just stopped showing up period toward the end. That year was the beginning of a serious downward spiral that got consistently worse year to year.

Todd Kinchen and Sammy Martin had to be two of the fastest white boys to ever play football. Both of those guys could fly.
The LSU-aTm series was badass until Knucklehead Curley showed up.
When we signed Harvey Williams, it was a big deal, not only because he was a prize recruit, but he came from a little town right near College Station. A&M wanted him BAD, and we stole him. That threw a good amount of gasoline on the already-hot rivalry. Those games during Harvey's years here were SICK. There was a lot of attitude.

I was in the student section for that hit. I still remember it to this day. The whole stadium reacted to it.
Todd Kinchen was a demi-god that night.
And look at A&M scrapping on the sideline with the ball boy... see... this is what I'm trying to tell the young 'uns... you better be ready for WAR on January 7. There's a LOT of hate coming at us from A&M. This IS a rivalry, people.
