Mofo called a timeout to draw up a play for a Dji Bailey 3 pt attempt and we got morons that still think he's a good coach

So "decent" talent is good enough in this league. Who's the idiot? Reed was their most important player. Chest, Collins, VMiller, BMiller and Givens had almost zero college experience and Vmiller was hurt at beginning of the season and end of the season as was Chest.. Baily is a good piece but not an SEC starter. Williams was good off the bench but even he is not SEC starting caliber yet. Sears is a 2 guard and Cam maybe the only player that could start on an SEC team. As I said MM hasn't shown he can produce in the portal but to compete in this SEC with that team he should have been blown out in EVERY game 1st and second half.. Not sure what happened with Ward but he would have been an important piece from a scoring stand point even though he was weak on defense. Not saying he hasn't made mistakes coaching. So did Wade but Wade had superior talent that helped offset those mistakes. If you want to criticize his performance in the portal I'm all over that. But to act like this team had the talent to beat most of the teams in the SEC this year is delusional.

This argument is so stupid.
Below are the primary jobs of a HC.
1 Identify talent that fits your culture
2 Recruit that Talent
3 Develop the talent you recruited
4 Create a “Team” with the talent you’ve developed
5 Devise game plans for each team you play
6 in game coaching, ie adjustments
All any fan sees is rankings on #2 and watch #6 in season. All the rest is invisible to the average fan.
If you don’t do #1 & #2 really well, all the rest doesn’t matter. You can be the best X’s & O’s coach on the planet, but if you don’t recruit elite talent that fits your culture, and scheme, your program will be a joke.
