Don't forget to practice less. The players love that apparently.

Oh, I get it. He just seems especially annoyed.

Anyhoo, I think it's much ado about nothing. I don't think there's anything O can do short of winning the national championship this year that would have him back here as HC next year. Joe inherited Miles and this is his chance to stamp his legacy. He's not hiring Big Ed unless shite goes really south with the top candidates.

BillJ is free to list any power 5 conference college football head coaching experience he has, whether on a permanent or interim basis, on his application.

No faith in the fact that he's 10 years older, and since the ole miss tenure he spent years with Pete Carroll? After learning under him and mimicking his coaching style he went 6-2.. Or maybe that he would bring in top talent? Or maybe Lsu historically has shite the bed with coaching hires untill this millenium. It's that thinking that got Texas Tennessee and USC where they are. Who knows if USC sticks with O which btw many inside the program still regrets. He revamped them in a hurry and the AD had the same narrow mind with that gotta have experience at a major program shite. Ya that wked out. Or how about Clemson hiring a position coach who was fiery & could recruit oh and was interim coach. Do u know why that was ?? No u don't too narrow minded I guess. Let's hope alleva thinks outside the box

Ok but you forgot the most important thing that completely disqualifies you. YOU CAN'T RECRUIT!!! So you won't have the quality players to beat anyone!!!

Scroll through the threads. Their is about a few dozen or so and figure it out yourself.

I'm not going to do the work for you.

for example: They want him to be HC because he is from LA and a local guy.

That is liking him to be the HC for the wrong reason.

You seem to be taking this way too personal for it to be this early. He has all November to either crash and burn or win the job. Let it play out before you just make up your mind you're gonna be pissy if it doesn't go the way you want right now.

I hope he doesn't crash and burn because I love CEO.

That said 8 games as an interim coach doesn't do it for me.

I need to see him build a team at smaller school then I will welcome him with open arms.

8 games win or lose wont make my decision for me.

Well, it sounds like the first two qualifications:(a) being from here and (b) loving the school is how Johnny Jones got the job.

Too bad he doesn't listen to the coaches he's hired as assistants.

With all that spare time and money you'll have due to your cunning plan, you'll be able to focus on our some of our programs most pressing issues. So forgive me for asking but how will you solve the following
(a) Students leaving for a pint in Freds after the 2nd quarter
(b) A Bengal Tiger thats not afraid of fireworks
(c) Uncomfortable seatbacks
(d) Grown adults who get upset by the additional lyrics to LSU Band favorite - "Neck"?
(e) Can we give back the TV's at the concession areas to the Super8 motels we stole em from?
I'll take my answer off air coach B and thanks for all you will do with the Program.

This is what I don't understand from the anti-O crowd.

Why does this brutal November stretch prove nothing to you? Do you think he wouldn't maintain a similar talent level? Will he suddenly lose the ability to make in game adjustments or hold assistants accountable? How do you define "building a program"? What does him coaching a bunch of sunbelt kids against sunbelt coaches really show you, that beating Freeze, Saban, and Sumlin wouldn't? If he navigates this stretch of games with one loss or less then it's just sheer Texas level arrogance to think you're gonna find someone who can do better.

Some of you are going to be very disappointed if the only reason you don't want O is because he seems too easy and isn't a big sexy name, because we aren't getting our first choice with Texas, USC, or Notre Dame open. Jimbo is the only coach who looks like he might not be a huge gamble, and even he is proving he won't be able to keep up with the West year in and year out right now.
