This article is from the Georgia game 20 years ago in Tiger Stadium. Many people who sit or sat on the East Side years back know Miss Flo (RIP). I sat in the row behind her for many many years (mostly as a kid) but she truly was and still is the greatest tiger fan I’ve ever known. I know I’m beating a dead horse here about fans leaving early but for Miss Flo’s sake let’s make tiger stadium great again and stay till the end! Just wanted to share this article for those of you who knew her. Geaux Tigers

That game established the legend of Quincy Carter which made him a lot of money.
I was there and remember that he completed his 12 to 17 passes. LSU had some chances and Champ Bailey made a great grab to extinguish any Tiger hopes for a comeback.
After the game Carter said that they just took what the defense was giving. A reporter asked a follow up about what we were giving. Carter's response was "everything". Thank you Lou Tepper.

Sat next to her for 20 years. She was the reason I kept those low seats where you can’t see the whole field. She made everyone around her become a true Tiger fan or they left. Everyone knew her. I still sit in those seats 30 plus years now and won’t leave. You stand you yell and you don’t leave early! God bless her and the Tigers. We are going to whip some dogs!

I was there too. Tepper made Carter look like a superstar. That D sucked. If I remember correctly, one of our veteran DBs who was the "QB of the defense" was late for a meeting or practice the day before the game and Dinardo suspended him for the game. That made matters worse.

What I gathered from this is that people were leaving at halftime in 1998. So why does everyone act like it’s a new phenomenon

No they weren't. I was there. LSU was ranked in the Top 10 and UGa was also ranked. 1998 was supposed to be a good year. The stadium was packed. The game went deep into the 4th quarter.
Tiger Stadium today is much different than it was back then.

The writer of this article Is David Fleming who is still a senior writer for Sports Illustrated. He covered NFL games. He sat in my seats was here to cover a Saints game. Was talking about pro fans leaving early not our fans.

Ha! In those days we could sneak beers in with our “rain bags” could bring in a 12 pack under the rain coats. No one checked in 1998. Those were the days!

Bull-fricking-shite.

I've been going since 1962.

Maybe the student section but I've been busted so much going through the gates I don't even drink in the games anymore. I use that time to yell myself hoarse and get my blood-alcohol below DUI levels.

Those certainly weren’t easy sneaking days. I got busted with small flask in boots one game and kicked out. Luckily fraternity brother had extra ticket. Had many a ziplock bag leak bourbon on my balls back then.

This is not about sneaking booze in it is about how real tiger fans should act! Read the article if you can match her then that is how you can help your team win! Step Up!

That game was the loudest and one of the best I have been to at TS. Even though we lost, it was a well played back and forth game. It also started a terrible losing streak that tanked us from #6 to a losing season.

No, not even close. It was louder than it gets at its peak these days for the entire time UGA had the ball, all 4 quarters. That doesn't happen anymore, so I guess people today don't understand it.

My father used to sneak a 12 pack at least in my starter jacket when I was a kid. No one checked so it was a walk through. Makes me laugh now!

Ms.Flo wtould have been proud yesterday of our Tiger fans. Except there were Georgia fans sitting in her old seats. That was sad to see.
