Giving full credit to DD for beating UGA in Athens for first time since 1983!

I have at times, been critical of DD, but also recognize when she does great and winning at UGA for the first time in 34 years (regular season) is a big deal. I always have hated UGA gym, who despite winning 16 SEC titles and 10 NC’s always appeared a bit “dirty” to me. From their attempts in 2005 to wear two pieces outfits (this is a sport not a meat market) to their use of the coaches boyfriends private jet to take the team to NYC for a shopping spree (yes this did happen), UGA always acted like they were “better.” Well shoe on the other foot and credit to DD for staying for 41 years and conquering another “demon” in UGA.
Wining our second SEC regular season title (they have only recognized this since last year) and the SEC tourney would be great next steps. Full credit to DD for overcoming so much after so many years.

That was the equivalent of LSU football winning in Knoxville.
Curious, wouldn't that flight for a team shopping spree be an NCAA violation? To say nothing of the immense liability exposure of taking the team on a non sanctioned flight on a private jet. Very irresponsible on many fronts.
I
recently met a retired coach from Tioga who told me she once asked D D for insights on starting a gymnastics program in the Alexandria area and D D took the LSU team to Alexandria for a practice session. Classy move and one more reason D D deserves the success she is finally achieving now that she is competing on a level field.

I really dislike Suzanne, she really is a bitch.
Felt good to stomp them on their home floor.
LSU definitely has a good chance of possibly winning a second SEC Championship meet in a row.

I tell you one thing, Suzanne plays DIRTY. I have to respect her but it doesn't mean I like how she goes about winning. The stories that could be told...

UCLA reported Georgia this fall for something they (Suzzane) did for recruiting. I've heard a lot of stories as well. UCLA though has been barking at the NCAA a lot lately for whatever reason.

Get Pete Thamel on the story. Maybe he can write about real recruiting violations instead of making up stories about Will Wade.

No love lost here for Suzzane, but she did win very big and helped establish SEC Gym, faced many of the "ole boy" issues and beat them..however, when she became very rich (started dating and married UGA top booster) she became IMHO arrogant and full of herself. Only met her once and was in 1990's, she was quite nice, but that changed. Curious haw she and DD get along "outside" the mat?
as for Sunday meet, my Priest and the Mississippi river bridge willing, I will be there...

She is back now as a volunteer coach for them. She is very involved with every aspect of the program now.

UCLA is the LAST program that needs to bark about shady recruiting and/or compliance

Thats what makes it so damn funny, in the recruiting thread we talked about a Nia Dennis's recruitment. They are the worst of all of them.
But mark it down, if Trinity thomas picks LSU over UCLA, Val will be up the NCAA's arse asking for them to look into LSU, they are already worrying about how the rest of her recruitment will unfold. She usually always does it whenever she misses on a major prospect you just never hear about it. They truly feel entitled to every prospect they desire.
