"Clock it...Clock it..." with 1 second on clock then deny he said it. Not only was a coaching stupidity but out right dishonest!!

That was on the punter. Receiver was open on the fake punt, the punter underthrew it. -Still a boneheaded play...

BUT: don't even compare that one play to the complete ineptitude of LSU's offense. Bama rushed for yards (200+) in the NC Game. LSU could only muster 200+ rushing against Tulane this year.

Play calling alone singles out Crowton as a turd.

The shovel pass was a stupid call regardless of the poor execution.

The back missed the pass sure, but it was thrown poorly.

But the point is:
-There were 15 seconds in the half
-Your team is probably a bit shellshocked
-You are playing a true freshman with little to no experience
-You are in your own half of the field
-You have shown no ability to move the ball since McCoy went out much less 60-70 yards in 15 seconds

Stupid call. Don't call timeout. Let the clock run and go to the half down 11.

LSU lost to four teams this year. One was the national champion. One was the number three team in the NATION. And, Penn State, the No 8 team in the NATION. The FOURTH loss was to a team which benefited from a coaching mistake. He acknowledges that.

and that is fine if you are content with being a top 15-25 program. I'd like to do a little better.
Like I don't!!! I say he's a hell of a lot better than Mike Archer, Curley Hallman, or Gerry Dinardo, and that's who you're comparing him to. You want LSU to be in the hunt for the national title EVERY year!! WE are two years off of a national championship!!!

I say he made the most of what he had. Without a coaching blunder, we would have had ten wins. That blunder, that acknowledged blunder, does not make him a bad coach. I think we're LUCKY to have him.

what has Miles done that would make you believe things will be getting better?
Miles managed to lose 4 games with the 06 and 07 LSU squads (most talented teams at LSU ever, IMO).
We don't have that level of talent on the field anymore. That's why he is losing 4 and 5 games per year.

Just because Miles acknowledged his complete lack of clock management skills does not make it better.

Yes, we are better off than the Dinardo, Hallman, and Archer years but if that's the standard the athletic department and administration are going to hold this football program to then I have 4 season tickets for sale.

that was WORSE that NS's fake punt call or Mack's shovel pass that turned into a td
(prob cost tx game).
It's not "one play", it's a philosophy that is the problem. Weak, non attacking defense that can't stop the run. Tentative, confused and uncoordinated offense that has no identity. That's LSU.

Did you see that on the field for either team last night? Hell to the no.

Rantards try to make everything about one play or one coach or one season, and lose sight of the overall big picture.

The problem with our program is that it is trending DOWN, there appears to be no long term strategy or philosophy, the team is losing it's toughness, and we have passive coaches who do not appear to be engaged or recognize the problem.

Dizzy is an appropriate name...

This same terrible offense set LSU's all time record for total yards and points scored last year.
