Exactly.

I mean, unless the guy's like all:

...must see and hear everything and doesn't have any choice.

So is this what we're deciding to complain about this week?

ASU probably thought the same thing prior to the 2005 season.

And that's fine. Not everyone wants the depressing human interest stories while they're watching sports. It doesn't make what happened any more or less tragic, and it doesn't make them dicks for not wanting to hear about it while watching sports.

It's one of the reasons I can't stand Tom Rinaldi and his quest to depress the frick out of everyone on Gameday every Saturday morning.

I'll be happy to talk to/ listen to people tailgating talk to me about it. It helps them to get it of their chest and we can relate to natural disasters down here.

I won't be surprised to see a story about it on TV either.

I'd prefer if they don't mention it 50x during the broadcast though.

some of our fans really suck

My 2 older sisters and 2 nieces and 2 nephews live there. my 2 nieces go to the school where all the kids got killed, luckily my sister took them out of school that day, and my sisters homes were both spared from this shite.... From one Tigers fan to another I say frick you to the ones who are going to act like bitches about this!!

Definitely. I was referring to the TV stuff though, which I agree with you on.

If there is any group that can identify with the pain and suffering they are going through, it's us. So let's show some compassion while at the same time screw OU! We gonna whip dat arse!!!

I think the Stony Brook story will be a reminder to this team to take care of business.

Just need to see how it balances out for us:

Katrina got us a final four and a Super Bowl. 2007 football championship too maybe.

Tuscaloosa tornado cost us the championship in 2011.

We've benefitted 3 and only lost 1. So in karma terms, we should probably expect to lose.

If they didn't live there you wouldn't be on this soap box.

My opinion is that it doesn't need to be brought up every inning. It was a terrible tragedy and I have the utmost compassion and heart goes out to those affected. But I want to hear good opinions about strategy from the commentators during the game. Is that too much to ask? I hope this is what most mean.

the entire series will be all about Oklahoma.

Well wouldn't it be a feel good story if Oklahoma goes instead of us? At least that is what the press will refer to I am sure.
