It just puts a lot of weight on that persons shoulders, and seems to mentally mess with them. I think it also causes fans to hold them to a higher level and in turn, causes more issues.

The whole subject has been beat to death.... just like those idiots that want to parade a damn tiger around. Just let it all go. The numbers thing aren't for the fans but fans want to change it. A fricking Bengal tiger isn't a house cat buts fans want to treat it that way.

Done with it too. If you really want to do a special number, maybe give #20 to someone. I know it is retired from the Billy Cannon days but to me that is the special number. I hate not seeing #20 on the field.
