This is what I'm hoping makes Johnny a good hire. I can imagine myself being a recruiting coordinator for LSU. I love LSU so much I'd work my arse off & do everything in my power to make us successful.

It seemed like TJ just went through the motions & at some points didn't even give a frick. How many SEC losses did we have where he just sat on his arse and watch the beat down?

Not thrilled with the hire like most, but I'm happy to see some new faces.

Johnny's SEC record in his last 4 seasons as Dale Brown's top assistant...18-46

Johnny's record? That would be Dale Brown's record, wouldn't it? Wouldn't Johhny's record be his as a head coach? Or have they changed the rules again? I neve heard of an assistant coach amassing a won/Lost record.

Then why don't you go run to Kentucky. That's a good place for fairweather tigers or wanna be wildcats or whatever you call yourself. The rant would be semi-tolerable if people like you would just get banned for being an inferior fan

And to "there's a big difference between high school and college" crowd, Gus Malzahn and Frank Wilson. Suck it.

I haven't argued this one way or another but what has Frank Wilson done to negate this argument? Because he's good at recruiting HIGH SCHOOL kids?

Proved that it's not the biggest jump in the world to make and the value of understanding local high school sports. eta, or maybe one assanine critique, as seen by skillet and others, just deserves an assanine response.

Saw him at the LSU/Bama baseball game on Friday and he definitely looked much thinner (after the bout with Cancer)........not a bad idea on Johnny's part though, GD knows the High School basketball scene pretty well.

If he's such a "great" coach, why has he been coaching high school ball for the last 30 years?
He's already been an assistant at LSU

Two things...

Almond is easily > Duhe though I think Duhe has a better personality.

Duhe sure knows how to teach "short white guys" how to undercut. If you can't beat them, undercut them. Duhe had some dirty arse central teams in his time there.

Didn't he get to win and so many schools because he was banging students, and got fired?

So now Gary Duhe and Quannas White are the answers to LSU basketball? Scary stuff right there.....

This isn't Nicholls, this is big time SEC basketball. Running this good ole' boy crap doesn't beat the Kentucky's of the world.

Pretty sure the first part of this is in a foreign language, but as to the latter part, I think he'd be in jail if true.

It's called blocking out.....just looks like undercutting because the "tall black guys" are jumping much higher than the "short white guys".

On another note rmc......ZHS was at its cocky best behavior last Tuesday in Walker. Embarrassing conduct to say the least....just sincerely hope they keep the postseason ban on em because there isn't a program in La Baseball that deserves it more.

Gary ran a dirty team Steve. The tall blacks were def scared.

ZHS baseball still being cocky? Did they win at least?
