Disagree. I think miles will be fired for his transgressions, which are slowly mounting like bodies in a serial killers basement.
1. The perilloix debacle
2. The co coordinator experament
3. The full frontal nudity on national television against ole miss!
4. Hiring friends as coaches rather than the best man for the job, coach strudwanda. Who is overrated by the way.
5. Repeated clock mismanagement, go back to auburn game of 2007.
6. Failure to put the best players on the field!
7. An inability to develop players at other positions, example saban taking rb Josh reed and transforming him in to one of the best wr's in Lsu history.
8. Most important - being everyones friend rather than instilling the fear of god in his players. Lack of discipline, and a total lack of a killer instinct! Players need there asses chewed once in a while they need to fear coming to that sideline after a false start, or personal foul!

I have my doubts, but will hold off until we play UNC. Spring is not the best guage of where the program is, but it is not that way off either.
The Spring game had some positives with much to be excited about with the talented youth, BUT the offense can leave many to worry.

False, Crowton will save Les's job when Miles throws him under the bus

quote:Outstanding post, my friend. All of the things I and others have been saying for about a year now. You have summed it all up nicely here, in a neat little package that's both damning and scary at the same time. Sadly, there are many on here who are clueless and refuse to see what's in front of their face.

Your post as a whole was very accurate, in my opinion, but the reference to Reed here is not quite accurate. It was actually Josh Booty's idea to move Reed to WR, and it happened in 1999, during DiNardo's last season. When Fisher arrived in 2000, he obviously found ways to use him effectively.
Everything else in your post is dead on, though.

Gary Crowton will cost Les Miles his job:
I think if the offense struggles again Crowton will be fired and Les will have one year remaining on his contract and will take an offer to Michigan if Rich Rod loses...les wont be fired next year but he could make a lateral move if he feels too much heat...he's warm now....

+1
I think when there are no more excuses of "inexperienced quarterback" hampering GC's vast array of plays, he'll finally be accepting a head coaching job at a sub-tier school (not fired becuase Miles doesn't fire people unless they violate recruiting policies). Miles will then get another OC and have another year to get himself fired or contract extended.
