I saw this on another message board. I never knew that Green was even leaving LSU.

Is this official? If so why is he leaving and is he indeed going to Indiana?

Ultimately, this is the best path for him

I think he would make Indiana a stronger contender for landing in the midst of March Madness next spring and would certainly draw fan interest.

LSU doesn't offer master's degrees???

I Kid. I Kid

I assumed there was a reason for him leaving such as O'Brysnt and Hamilton coming in.

This is basically it. He graduates in a week and knows he wouldn't play much (if at all) this season so he decided to transfer elsewhere. He'd be behind O'bryant, Hamilton, White, Warren and probably Ludwig this season if he stayed.

iu needs some missed lay ups and they landed a 5 star prospect in that field.

"Hell yeah! We got us a 7 footer with 3 years experience in the SEC!!!"

2 months later:

Nah... I wish Garrett well. He busted his arse last year. I appreciate his efforts while he was here.

I'll probably watch some Indiana games this season.

And a 40% free-throw shooter as well. Two or three times last year he missed two free throws only to have a lane violation, then miss a third.

The guy had his moments and got more playing time here than he would have most anywhere. All the best to him...hopefully he's leaving because he realized we were significantly upgrading at his position.

Even so, GG played above his level last season, who honestly expected the guy to play as much as he had to last year? I wish him all the best.

Some are miffed that he waited so long we couldn't use his schollie this year plug got his trip to Italy in to boot.

But at least he graduated so it won't count against our APR and in all reality maybe we can fill it with a better recruit next year and he wasn't going to give us much this year.

I wish him well too.

I do want to make an addendum to my statement, I'll root for him, unless IU plays LSU somewhere this season and I'm at the game, then I'm going to let out three years of frustration of watching his sorry arse play in a Tiger uniform
