I knew this pitcher liked to throw curve balls early in the count, and fastballs late. Mason Katz normally takes off speed early in the count because he is a great fastball hitter. With the wind blowing out to left, I felt the if Katz could wait him out he would get a good pitch to hit. Katz is batting .589 with a 1.345 slugging percentage on Saturday night games against right handed pitchers with runners in scoring position.
