right. Ibarra is slow as hell so i cant even begin to believe that was the call. i think it was a hit and run and ross stupidly didnt swing at the pitch out. you have to try and foul that off, and he should know that. or of course one of them missed a sign.

Ross recognized the obvious pitchout being 4 feet up and 2 feet out and decided not to waste a swing
I think this is what happened.

It was a pitch out, he would've never touched that ball.

99% of the time you swing anyway. But Ross is a smart ball player and a catcher so he definitely gets the benefit of the doubt for me.

I was happy that he didn't swing. Ibarra was gonna get thrown out either way, that would've just put Ross in the hole 0-1

He ended up striking out anyway but yeah that was the best of the 2 bad outcomes at the time.

Hindsight is 20/20. Knowing he was going to stike out he should have tried to save Ibarra. However, in the moment I was fine with him keeping the bat on his shoulder.

What I wasn't fine with is when Moore didn't tag up from second on a deep fly to right field. I was livid, shite like that irritates me.

Some stats for you guys on Jonathon Crawford against both LSU(Game 1) and Vandy(Game 2).
Vandy: 6IP 12H 6ER 7SO
LSU: 5.1IP 06H 2ER 4SO
Vandy: 6IP 12H 6ER 7SO
LSU: 5.1IP 06H 2ER 4SO

Now I can agree with that. You've got to try and advance on deep balls.
Posted on 5/3/13 at 11:15 am to CajunFootball
I think Tyler's inability to tag comes with his lack of playing time. Not making excuses for the guy because he obviously brain farted, but that's what I concluded seeing him not advance. Also, I wasnt at the game so I only got to see the fly ball, not his reaction or jump off the bat.
