This is true. This is the poorest tackling LSU team I have seen in a decade.

that would be an awesome slam if our list wasnt longer.

But your acting like this is a top 10 team coming to town. Reality is, they are a one dimensional offense and outgunned by LSU at every position on the field.

Now, I'll grant you that this LSU team is the epitome of an underachiever, but to act like we're doomed because we're playing --gasp!--Georgia Tech is a bit silly.

I'm an optimist but I think the bloodletting has occurred inside the lockeroom and the team will view this as the first game in the 2009 season--a season of redemption.

Ga Tech runs the option. They execute it well, but rely more on opponents making mistakes, not doing their responsibilities correctly, and being undisciplined, rather than doing any thing special.

If LSU doesn't get it together, I could see this getting VERY ugly.

If we get a new DC in a timely fashion, we might, MIGHT have a chance. Otherwise, I see us getting slaughtered.

look, i promise you, this sucks, i hate this, and i have to f**king live with a current Tech student, so no one wants LSU to win more than me, but our defense is run by idiots and there offense is run by a genius. that does not bode well for us.

and they're not one dimensional. Nesbitt has a very good arm and Thomas is an outstanding WR. its not their focus, obviously, but dont think for one second they cant throw the ball.

I've watched Tech as well and they are absolutely one-dimensional. Nesbitt has a decent arm but they don't use it. They are not a passing team. They won't pass it. Just b/c you hype Nesbitt and Thomas doesn't increase the liklihood of them throwing the football more than 10-15 times.

They better put knee pads on Coleman and Hawkins. After watching Javan Snead drag Coleman for about ten yards for a TD, it's likely that big GT running back will wear out their knees dragging them up and down the field.

Way to bring something in that doesn't have anything to do with the thread.

It comes down to discipline and tackling against an option team. LSU has very little of both on D. I'm not flaming, other LSU fans in this thread are saying this exact same thing. If Miles can get it together by the bowl, LSU should win. I don't know if he will. I do know, as of this moment, LSU has more talent, GT is a far better TEAM. If they played tomorrow, I'd put GT at 80%. They don't play tomorrow, though. But if you want to win, you have to put your trust in Miles and the DC's to get it done during bowl prep.

He's not a genius. He's a pompous windbag who will keep Tech in that 7-5 to 9-3 window but never lead them to greatness. He's running an outdated offense and is too stupid to realize it. Now maybe if he tweaked it to actually use Nesbitt's arm, that might make sense. But Paul Johnson is more overrated than Keiland Williams

all im saying is they CAN throw the ball. this isn't a Nebraska type team with a completely inept air attack. they can throw and Thomas is really really good.

Uglier than Florida, no. LSU wasn't that ugly, so yes for that one.

Also, don't know why you guys keep bringing it up in this thread, when Ohio St has nothing to do with LSU and GT.

You just sound bitter.

I agree there. I heard Johnson on the radio today and he said that he can't wait to implement the passing part of his offense. He said they will be able to throw more next season when they players are more comfortable with the system. Until then, look for more of the same.

He's actually said he wants to throw the ball more. However attracting a passer to Navy is harder said than done and no one knew that Nesbitt could throw the ball period.

Yeah, it really was. Don't let the score blind you. A pick 6 and a garbage TD against backups with seconds on the clock. That game was a blowout from the 2nd quarter on.

Just to bust your balls. It's all in good fun.
