Clemson had by most accounts a down year in 2024 and then saved it with 1 big performance against SMU (who ended up getting absolutely crushed in the playoffs).

Back to back down years, they were 9-4 in 2023 as well.

We lost to a USC team that finished 7-6

jesus

No one can point out that Clemson didn't beat a single decent team last year, and not get this kind of BS. LSU, in fact, had some good wins last year. Clemson also went 0-3 vs the SEC, and LSU beat one of the teams that beat Clemson...and beat them on the road. Clemson may beat us, but the hype is not warranted just yet, based upon past results.

terrible USC team,

wouldn't call them terrible, they had a TON of close losses last year, and their QB and REC's played WAY over their head against us. But, it was a bad loss, early, at a neutral site.

The A&M game was in complete control, on the road, until our LG got injured and we didn't have someone come in that could help out Chester so we were exposed right us the middle in the second half....plus our D was deer in headlights against the little running qb that couldn't pass.

The Florida loss, on the road again, and we now lost not only our LG but our RG...throw Chester in the middle of that, on the road, against a rising Florida team (who will be tough this year imo) and we couldn't overcome the deficiencies up front.

OVERRATED

This - saying a team is overrated does not mean they are a bad team. Just means they are maybe being rated a bit higher than they should be given what we know of them.

It’s just a weird and pointless flex. Both are entirely different teams from last year. We are the best team on their schedule and they are the best team on our schedule this year.

In Clemson's 10-4 2024 Season, only two of those wins were against teams with a winning record. Pitt (24 - 20) and SMU (34 - 31

Pittsburgh played Clemson and almost beat them with their 2nd team QB. Zachary sensation (signed with Alabama and portaled to Pitt) Eli Holstein had a season ending injury with Pitt at 7-0 and then they lost the next 6 games. Holstein threw for 2200 yds and ran for 350 in 6 1/2 games. If he were healthy you got to believe they would have beaten the Tigers.
