Hi Folks. I'm a Gator fan, but I come in peace. :-)

Now that the baseball brackets have been set and everyone's had a chance to review them, I'm looking for some perspective from the LSU fan base - which I personally hold in high regard. So, here goes:

1. I think your team should have been the #1 seed. UCLA didn't play in a tournament and lost 2 of 3 in their final season series. Your team lost 1 very close game late in the SEC Tourney.

2. Our regional certainly seems to favor us. As a fan, I wish we could have had some teams we hadn't already seen this year. Plus, in-state schools always bring their A game when they play us. I'm sure it's the same when you play your in-state schools.

3. I think all SEC teams hosting will win their Regionals. I think Arkansas will win the Okie St. Regional.

4. I think College of Charleston is the best #2 seed in the tourney and has an excellent shot at knocking off the crimiNoles in Tallahassee.

5. I think UCLA, Mo. St, Miami, UF, LSU, TCU, Vandy and Cal St. Fullerton are left standing at the end.

Any thoughts? Not liking Gators is a given, anything else is appreciated.

Agree! Still don't like the Gators and absolutely despise the Aubies and Red Elephants!

UCLA actually lost 1 series all year

To answer your question i think arkansas, a&m, vandy and florida make omaha. Vandy and Florida play for championship. Vandy wins because your coach sucks.

I think the SEC teams are in good positions to make runs in this tournament. Obviously the top 4 SEC teams were a cut above the rest and I think at least 3 SEC teams make it to Omaha. Can't wait for the SEC to take over my favorite yank town.

I agree. I think 3 of the top 4 SEC teams this year make it to Omaha but I wouldn't be surprised to see all 4 there.

LSU has struggled the last couple of years in the postseason so I think they will be focused and ready for a deep run this year.

They lost 2 of their last 3 games. Not two of their last 3 series.

This is the kind of insight you get with newbs infiltrating the board for the postseason

They shouldnt be #1 because they lost 2 of their last 3 games? Did they lose to nicholls or lose a series to a non tournament team? LSU could have been #1 but stallings had to pitch the 9th. But hey thats baseball

The OP was saying how he thinks LSU should have been the #1 seed. LSU has been ranked #1 in most polls for quite some time and the only way LSU wouldn't be #1 is if they lost and someone jumped us. LSU did lose, but a close game as the OP mentioned to the #4 overall seed, and UCLA lost 2 out of 3 in their final series to a mediocre team so that shouldn't have made UCLA jump LSU. Either way, the seeds aren't chosen on polls.

I'm kind of glad we didn't

Mo. St. is a dirty team this year. They could easily wreck havoc.
