RIP Robyn. You showed us what it meant to be a Fighting Tiger.

Being in goal presents one of the strangest viewpoints in all of team sports - looking at the turned backs of teammates. Often during the most stressful, hard fought moments - the keeper is isolated, forced to deal with the situation with little or no help....
It takes a lot of guts to play keeper... It's a position that fighters are born to play, and this carries over into their lives off the field. For this - It's no surprise to me that she beat the odds initially weighed against her.
Although I played Div.I for another purple school and more or less hung up my cleats almost 15 years ago... When I read her story I felt a little like I lost a teammate today.
My heart goes out to her family and friends.
