Breaux, a former standout cornerback at McDonogh 35 High School in New Orleans, fractured his C4, C5 and C6 vertebrae during his senior season. Despite the injury, LSU honored Breaux’s scholarship, though he was never able to take the field for the Tigers.

Now one of the top cornerbacks for his hometown New Orleans Saints, Breaux was awarded a commemorative jersey from his time at LSU. His college gave him a customized gold jersey that the team wore earlier this season when it faced Mississippi State.

pretty cool. Think LSU gave a bunch of former players those. I know Mathieu and Beckham both posted theirs on social media.

He practiced today (at least the stretching portion) after breaking his fibula in week 1. Should be back on the field the next 2 weeks.

He worked his arse off with a lot of LSU players even when he was injured. Best flag football player LSU has ever seen too

Hawkins wasn't terrible. He was serviceable and made some big plays. He played in the league as well.

Breaux, Mathieu, Rashard Robinson...basically if you spend even a second in the LSU secondary, you go to the NFL

When a school has a rep like LSU does, you get opportunities other people don't.
