You are correct, Sir!!!! Thanks for setting the record straight. Better headline anyway.
I ordered mine from an ad either in the Tiger Rag or the Advocate.

When I attended LSU in the late sixties, early seventies, football had winning seasons. LSU was competitive in football but we didn't win any national championships while I was there. OLE MISS kept us from winning one in '69. Baseball was practically unheard of and basketball had The Pistol.

When I was at LSU, Y. A. Tittle was the quarterback.

Attended from 98 to 02 and endured the Dinardo Era but did enjoy some of Saban Tenure. Baseball we had the championship team in 2000, and in basketball we had Stromile, Torris Bright, and a few other under Brady.
So we had some good teams during that time. It was exciting I guess because that is right when we first started to make our run at being a powerhouse in the SEC and the nation in football.

2001-2005
Football- it was the saban era. 2001 was awesome, 2002 was somewhat disappointing, 2003 was fricking awesome, and 2004 was pretty disappointing (mostly due to saban leaving.)
basketball- 2001-2005, i always loved going to the bball games. they were just fun. even though LSU wasnt awesome, they always seemed like they were in every game. the LSU Zona game in 2002 was one of my favorite LSU memories.
baseball? who cares about college baseball.

Fall of 01 to Spring 06...
Went in with Rohan leading the Tigers to their first SECCG, went out with the Final Four, and had a MNC, a couple more big bowl wins, and a couple CWS appearances in-between.

In football, Archer had just taken over for Arnsparger, so football was still good...but on the way down. But at that point, "Hodson for Heisman", baby!
Baseball was beginning to roll.
Basketball was exciting, yet IMO, underachieving. As a freshman, I went to the counselors office at the beginning of school. In walks the two largest humans I had ever seen in my life. Turns out it was Stanley Roberts and some skinny kid named Shaquille O'Neal.
Stanley Roberts was humongous! Chris Jackson was amazing to watch...
