The Texas Rangers also have a home game scheduled at 7:00pm that night.

This could possibly be moved up.

Good thing we have a parking pass on the first row next to the gate.

You coonasses are gonna love the TCU coeds.

I'll be there tailgating with some LSU people......wearing minimal Bama gear. Just 1 piece of flair.

I'll be doing just the minimum.

What are you trying to do, reduce the number of LSU fans attending from ten thousand to four?

I think I would rather go to the Ranger's game. They are fun and stadium is nice.

I've been to a Cowboys game and Rangers World Series game the same day in Arlington. Parking and traffic both were not bad.

mainly because TCU doesn't support their team for shite, they could rarely fill that little matchbox stadium before they added on to it, not saying they're not passionate about thier school, they just don't go to games

Before you starting ripping on TCU's attendance issues you should know that every game was a sellout last year for TCU even if some fans did not attend in person.

Secondly, and more important, TCU has a student body of about 8,000 students whereas LSU has around 28,000. To fill TCU's stadium like TCU did last year, they have to go over 5 times the size of their student body. Or to put it another way for LSU to do the same thing, they would have to fill a stadium of 163,000 fans. We both know LSU could not do that consistently.

TCU actually is one of the best in the country on a per capita basis but as a small private school, it will never have the overall attendance numbers that a big state school backed by state taxes and resources will garner.

Are you sure about this? LSU athletics is self-supporting.

Maybe you can make that case now, but you didn't get to that point based on LSU athletic profits alone. You got to that level thanks to state taxes, state resources, etc.

LSU could never put 163,000 in any stadium. The poster even said consistently. LSU doesn't put 90,000 in the seats consistently.

That place is going to be a mad house and parking will be an absolute nightmare.

9Fiddy Your warning is appreciated. However, you might consider who you are warning. LSU fans dont come 1 hr before the game. LSU fans come to games at the crack of dawn to tailgate and enjoy an LSU football experience. Parking at Jerry's world is way better than that offered or not offered by LSU as the case may be. We arent worried about parking, were not worried about staying up late. There is no bigger traffic jam or crowd that compares to a Bama or UF game at LSU. probably 175,000 on campus and only 92,ooo go to the game.
LSU fans are a nightmare come true for TCU. LSU owns Jerry's world. We will outnumber TCU 3 to 1. Its gonna be a big home game opener at LSU West.
If I were a TCU fan I'd stay home and protect the women and children...maybe the dog too.

First, you need a history lesson on the economics of LSU football and learn that LSU Football revenues have supported the state for a long time - not the other way around.

Second, I have lived in Dallas for 25 years hearing TCU fans excuse their horrid fan attendance based on a smaller student population. The DFW metroplex has 6.6 million sports crazy people while BR has less than 500,000 and the entire state of LA only has 4.6 million. TCU doesn't consistently fill its relatively small stadium because TCU doesn't have a product worthy enough to attract fans to attend the games. Even after 2 Rose Bowls - TCU Football still can't tap into a meaningful share of the 6.6 million DFW sports market. The product is simply not very popular - even with the TCU student body.

I seriously doubt that. TCU isn't a marquee match up for us like Oregon was. Also, the main reason we outnumbered Oregon fans so heavily is because of distance. TCU is located 15 minutes away from Jerry World. We may outnumber them, but it won't be anything like it was for Oregon.
