I've listened to Dick Vitale since the late 80s. He's a legend and appreciated. His enthusiasm has always been unbridled.
But I will say, over time it's waned on me. He yells everything and makes the same argument 10x in repetition and will also contradict himself.
In a Duke game I watched a while back, he repeatedly just kept coming back to Zion being #1 OA NBA pick. Not that his point is wrong, it was just annoying that he circles back to that at least 15 times in 30 minute span.
Also in a West Virginia game recently, WVU started out hot, like 80% from FG and Dickie V ranted about people saying WVU can't shoot. Harped on it multiple times. Then WVU reverted to norm and couldn't shoot. Then Dickie V yells to audience WVU has scoring concerns.

Exactly. I love him announcing our games despite him being annoying sometimes because it means we are doing well.

When I think about Vitale, I remember the glory years at Indiana and how he would slobber Knight's cock and call him The General.
