The good news is that we have about half a year until the first game, so there's plenty of time for Jefferson to get things going.

It should not be all on him. That is my point dumbass.

YOUR POINT is NONE of it is on him. You made a reference to Brees. THAT is my point. Brees has won games. JJ HAS NOT! Hell even JL WON games he played in at times including AU and that comeback against Troy. It is about leadership. JJ is NOT a leader.

...and if a frog had wings, it wouldn't bump his butt. So what's your argument? Our O-line couldn't block. The problems always start up front-the foundation. No blocking? No running. No passing. IF our O-line improves this year, so will our running game and JJ will have some time to pass/run.

Did Colt McCoy have a running game at Tejass last year? Besides himself.....

Comparing JJ to McCoy is unfair. After all, JJ is bigger, stronger with a stronger arm than McCoy. But McCoy is a natural leader and winner. JJ apparently is not.

JJ and Lee, both share a similar problem and that is they don't have a staff that can work with their weaknesses and strengths. Instead the staff keeps trying the same shite whether it works or not.

I'd love to see the comparison of time great, average, and poor qb's have in the pocket. NOBODY can throw or get comfortable in the pocket because your line can't give you even 3.5 secs i.e

hey dude, JJ had like damn near 7 seconds to throw the ball last year...if you get sacked at 5-7 seconds its your damn fault not the o-line's.....he's indecisive and he's scared...dude isnt gonna come around until he grows up....simple as that...He has tools....Size, arm, speed.....but that doesnt make you a QB....it makes you look like a QB...

Weaver,

In this thread, you have blamed everyone but Jefferson. You blamed the offensive line. You blamed the running backs. You blamed the coaches. Why?

Even a freshman, pick six Lee could move this offense.

Jordan Jefferson right now is rivaling Marcus Randall for QB futility. The thing is, he has the size, speed and arm strength to be much, much better. What is dismaying is that rather than grab the mantle and be a leader, he has apparently regressed this spring. I don't get it, the fans don't get it and perhaps even the coaches don't get it.

I hope and pray he comes to jesus but right now, Jordan Jefferson is the weakest link on this team and, if he doesn't improve quickly will be the difference between competing for an SEC title and placing third in the West.

It's really that simple. It is ALL on #9.

good stuff dude...

Some of these people obviously don't watch games, they just parrot information they hear from someone else.

well, I said it all year last year and everyone was blaming the o-line that had 3 returning starters on it...its ridiculous...it was plain as day to see that the QB was fricking up the rotation....

puff, puff, give....boy needs to learn...

some fans keep grasping at straws

I think in the case of JJ, it's the exact opposite.....crappy QB play causes the running game to suck.

absolutely, with the exception of a few cases where a power running will bail out poor qb play. LSU has not had a power running game since what 06? So in our case a good passing game makes it better but we will not be able to rely on the running game to carry us

am i remembering correctly that the running game improved against Bama when JJ came out?

i don't see why people can be pumped about JJ being out there this year. i'm looking forward to seeing LSU football and if he's the guy then i want him to succeed. but, this is the offseason... what makes people think he will get better? this is really aimed at those who swear they have a heart attack when Lee comes in.

those that seem like they hate Lee say "he had his chance". what about JJ? did he not have a chance already? and did he show marked improvement between Washington and Arky last year? how long before JJ has had his chance?

if the opinion is that he is our best option, that's one thing. but all of the hatred towards Lee confuses me because I haven't seen a leader in JJ either or any characteristics of an offensive captain more than i've seen in Lee.

JMO FWIW and i hope if JJ starts, we go 14-0

OMG, it doesnt make a frick! Power run game?!!...It doesnt matter when they put more guys in the box then you have to block them. ill give you goaline type stuff cause thats different, but you still have to make sure that d-Coord know you'll still throw it in there...
