Mechanics are a very hard thing to change on a 20 y/o. He's been throwing that way for his whole life. Look at Tebow...he still can't figure it out.
My point is that Crowton can't reteach him everything there is to know about being a QB. You just have to give him what you think he can handle and pray that our defense keeps playing the way they have been.
With that being said I still would like to see JLee get a series or two to see if he can get a spark.

Everybody has a "source," so take this with a grain of salt.
But someone pretty close to the situation that I trust about this says that the Crowton/Miles play calling split is roughly 80/20. However, the biggest disconnect between them is that Crowton wants Lee as the QB and Miles wants Jefferson. And we know who's winning that battle. Crowton is having to dumb down the playbook to suit Jefferson.
Again, take it for what it's worth.

Mechanics are more than just the arm motion. His footwork is awful and that can be corrected.
