A non-conference champ can play in the championship game. Thusly, that link is pointless.

it's probably most likely to happen in a year where LSU beats florida in the regular season, Florida goes undefeated, Alabama beats LSU and loses to Florida in the SECCG, and lots of other teams have 1 loss or more.

texas loses 2x
iowa loses 2x
cincy loses 2x
tcu loses
boise st loses
oregon lose
ga tech loses
penn st loses
possibly need pitt to lose
