You Wadestans have really become delusional. You’ve spent so much time and energy defending him you have greatly exaggerated what he actually did at LSU in your own minds. And before you interpret that as me saying he did nothing at LSU, I got the excitement I shared it. I became an LSU fan because of the 81 Final Four team. I was a student when he had Chris Jackson and Shaq, no one wants LSU basketball to win more than me. Dale made the tourney 10 years in a row 13 of 15.

For 25 years after the streak ended we only made it 6 times only twice after the 2006 FF and only back to back once in 05-06 before Wade so I get it I do he brought back excitement and making the tourney every year. He made 3 of 4 tournaments here would have been 4 in a row without the Covid cancellation

However if we really look at it, he had 1 great year 2019. We won the SEC 16-2 in league. 3 seed made the sweet 16. The other 2 tournaments we were a 8 seed and a 6. The Covid year LSU was unranked when the season was canceled so likely a 7-10 seed that year.

Compare that to Oats who’s first 3 years were basically the same as Wade, year 2 won the SEC 16-2 sweet 16. Year 4 however he was the overall 1 seed, though lost in the Sweet 16 (I don’t even have to guess how our fans would react to the 1 seed losing in the S16) then a Final Four and this year a lock for another 1 seed.

Tl:dr? Saban won a NC for LSU, Wade a Sweet 16. Wade is a long way from Nate Oats let alone Saban.
