If thats so why did UNCLE NICK lose 4 games his last year here? And why did Les miles take the same amount of talent, and only lose 2 games? I'll tell you why cuz Nicky is OVER-RATED!!! How else you suppose Alabama was "unmotivated" about being in a freaking BCS bowl game?

mgmer, I'll give Les a mulligan for last year, when their only victory of the year against a good team was against G-Tech.......Hopefully this year will be tons better.

MMMHHHMMMMMMMMM, all i know is Les has never lost to the likes of ULM or UAB, Troy came close last year, only for LSU to have the biggest comeback in school history! Smoke that shyt, you bet little Nicky wouldn't have had the balls to get his team motivated enough to comeback in that game!

My take on last yr. First, regardless of what others think, RP getting booted did, indeed hurt LSU last yr. I can understand Miles thought process on defense. The system thatwas in place was good enough to win a national championship, so why not continue the same system. It didn't work, so rather than tinker with it, he goes out and gets argueably the best def. Staff in the SEC. I'm not sure there are that many coaches that would have been able to do what Les did.

Skillet, I started watching in the Charlie Mac days, when we seemed to always lose to Bama, & very seldom did we win our bowl games. I loved them then but I'm really loving winning our bowl games, especially when we dominate. I did not enjoy losing the bowl games under Nick that I thought we should have won, but I'll be forever grateful for what he accomplished for us. I do not think we'll be 8 & 5 again anytime soon but I'll have to wait & see.

I love how some LSU fans in their attempt to propel Les Miles just find the uncontrollable need to dump on LSU's teams under Saban.
Saban can go frick himself now, but jeesus people, he took an LSU program with a 3-8 record the previous season and only 3 winning seasons in the last decade and won the fricking National Championship in his 4th year! I know, I was there for every fricking game.
Les stands on his own two feet. He doesn't need rantards throwing the 2000-2004 LSU program under the bus to prove your goddamn point.
